I planted all the herbs all the flowers companion planted with things that repel bugs and had the worst luck this year. We had a lot of early heavy rain. I had issues with a groundhog who now finally has a new home. Lol and then the bugs all moved in. I had every companion plant that repels bugs around my for my cabbage and used neem oil and had the worst infestation of worms. LOL I couldn't win this year.

I know lots of very old people who never gardened (99-106!). I also know people who have been badly injured by gardening, by pathogens and spiders etc in the soil. Gardening is great, but don't get carried away mate.

Honey you did awesome, my grandma taught me to garden in Minnesota we had 5 acres of garden we did by hand every summer, got us through those rough winters. She lived to be 103 yo. So don't tell me that fresh is not the best !!!!

Yes my mother gardens at night and morning. She doesn't just plant food to eat but rice just to look at.

Ok, I come from nomadic cattle raisers of Asia. In her late 80s both my grandma and her mother in law( my grand grand mother) never stopped gardening. Early morning you would see them weeding, watering, airing soil and etc. Now I want to give their daily routine ( both men and women) Wake up early morning before sunrise Give water ( in buckets) water to all animals on farm, milk cows, Come back with milk, boil it, Have breakfast ( already 3-4 hours passed since waking up) - Do different assigned tasks Lunch - yogurt or kefir , whole wheat bread, butter, cold meat , sometimes hot broth soup Rest, nap in summers Afternoon tea All the morning activities again Dinner - Late evening boiled meat meal, bone broth, fermented food, no fried food

Easiest to grow but everytime I cut some off to consume I kill my plant🙈😂

Well, are they an indeterminate variety? That makes a difference. Looks to me like lots of branches that would have had flowers were cut off. I clicked the comments to see who else thought this lady was wrong.

I literally went and planted two tomato plants in the ground for the first time this year, no soil extras, no crazy pruning, and I’ve picked 6 so far with about 7 or 8 still growing on the plants. It ain’t rocket science.

I cant wait to live in a city and grow vegetables. Thanks. Rural people have their own competition in food. Theyre extremely competitive over what produce is grown in the garden. Ditto got it. Moving on. We arent gardening people. Got it. Seems to be an adaption to decrease competition from urban life . Too much competition disturbs natural flows on learning. Count your blessings. Not gardening is actually a strategy in cooperation .
